Why is Receiving a Critical Data Point?

Receiving plays a vital role in key cash-focused metrics, such as Cost of Purchases and Cash Margin, which assess cash flow health and inventory performance (overbought vs. underbought).

Metrics Impacted by Receiving Data:

  • Actual Net Inflow
  • Cash Margin ($ and %)
  • Cost of Purchases (%)
  • Efficiency & Freshness
  • Initial Markup (IMU)
  • Open-to-Buy (OTB) & Inventory Deviation

Missing or inaccurate receiving data can distort these calculations, affecting financial and inventory decisions. Receiving can bee seen on the Data Validation Report or IMU Variance Report.
