If you're using RICS POS and want to make sure that Open Purchase Orders (POs) from previous months are included in your Retail Orbit export—even if their due dates have passed—this guide will walk you through the settings you need to adjust.
🏢 Step 1: Work at the Organization Level
These settings must be adjusted at the organization level, not the individual store level.
⚙️ Step 2: Access Setup Settings
-
In RICS, go to:
Setup > Manage Store > Setup Settings
-
In the top right, use the Organization Lookup to select your org-level settings.
📋 Step 3: Adjust Open-to-Buy Options
Once you're in the org-level settings:
-
Navigate to:
Open-to-buy Options -
You'll see a few key settings:
🔧 Option 1: Use Cancel Date Instead of Ship Date
Setting: Use Cancel On to date open On-Order
-
What it does:
When enabled, this setting tells the export to use the cancel date instead of the ship date when evaluating Open POs.
🔧 Option 2: Look Back at Open Orders Further into the Past
Setting: Override days for 1st Month open On-Order
-
What it does:
This allows you to look further back in time to include older Open POs. -
How to calculate the value:
Add the number of days in the previous month(s) you want to include, plus the number of days into the current month you’re running the export.Example:
-
You’re exporting on March 15
-
You want to include all of February and up to March 15
-
February has 28 days
-
So:
28 + 15 = 43(or 44 in a leap year)
-
