How to Get Your Lightspeed R Series Location ID

If you need to determine the Location ID for each store in Lightspeed Retail, there’s a simple way to find it — no need to contact Lightspeed Support. This guide walks you through it step-by-step.

 


Why You Might Need This

Retail Orbit Support may ask for your Location ID(s) to help troubleshoot or configure your data setup. You can quickly find these on your own by following the steps below.

 


🧭 Steps to Find the Location ID

1. Log in to Lightspeed Retail

Log into your Lightspeed account using your admin credentials.

 

 


2. Go to the Register Selection Screen

  • Click the Register icon in the top-left corner of the Lightspeed screen.

3. View Your Locations

  • You’ll now see a list of all available store locations.

4. Click on a Location

  • Click on any location in the list to select it.

  • The browser’s URL will briefly display the Location ID for about 2 seconds before redirecting.

🕒 Timing Tip

The Location ID is only visible in the URL immediately after you click a location — it disappears quickly. You might need to:

  • Repeat the process a few times

  • Take a screenshot

  • Or copy the URL quickly before it redirects


💡 Pro Tip:

Do this for each location you need the ID for. Record them in a safe place, and share them with Support if needed.
