Indie is built on 40 years of Management One expertise, in one knowledge base. It's available as a slide-over panel from any page, or expanded to its own full page — click "Ask Indie" in the top nav to open the panel, or use the expand icon for the full-page view.

Start with a Question

Five pre-built prompts get you moving right away, each tagged by category. In the full-page view, every card also shows a short descriptor underneath so you know exactly what you're about to get before you click.

Chat

Responses are grounded in specifics: exact dollar figures, weeks-of-supply, cash margin percent, variance vs last year — not general retail advice.

  • Sections are organized with clear headers, so you can scan a long answer quickly.
  • Indie flags where judgment is still required — for example, prompting you to confirm with your M1 consultant before clearing inventory that might be intentional display stock rather than genuine deadstock.
  • Each response can be saved as a prompt for reuse, copied, or rated with a thumbs up/down (a down vote opens an optional "What was wrong?" field).
  • While Indie is composing a longer answer, a "thinking" indicator shows in place of the send button.

History

Every past conversation is listed by day with a title (for example, "What's working and what needs attention?") and a "Private conversation" tag confirming it's visible only to you.

  • Starts empty — "No conversations yet" — until your first chat.
  • A share icon at the top of every conversation, alongside download and expand, lets you change that visibility.

Prompts

Two groups keep your prompt library organized: M1 Prompts, the five built-in starters available to every user, and My Prompts, anything you've saved yourself (tagged "Mine").

Files

A place to upload reference files for Indie to consider when answering.

  • Starts with an "Add file" / "Upload file" button and an empty state ("No files uploaded yet") until you add one.

Artifacts

Saved outputs from Indie — full analyses or recommendations you've chosen to keep.

  • Listed with a preview of the opening line and an "Open in chat" button to jump back into the full conversation that produced it.
  • Copy, download, and delete controls are available for each one.
