What is Retail Orbit?

Retail Orbit brings together your store's data to provide clear, actionable insights. The platform allows you to:

  • View performance metrics across your business
  • Analyze inventory and sales trends
  • Monitor buying opportunities and open-to-buy
  • Access reports that support better merchandising decisions

Retail Orbit acts as your one-stop shop for retail data, reporting, and insights.

Accessing Retail Orbit

Getting started is simple:

  1. Open your web browser
  2. Navigate to www.retailorbit.com
  3. Enter your login credentials

Explore with Confidence

Retail Orbit is designed to be easy to navigate and safe to explore.

Feel free to open reports, apply filters, and review different views of your data.

You won't break anything by exploring. The platform is built so you can interact with reports freely while gaining a deeper understanding of your business performance.

Navigating Retail Orbit

The navigation bar at the top of the screen helps you move throughout the platform. Below is an overview of each tab.

Dashboard

This dashboard gives you an at-a-glance view of your store's performance for the current month, alongside longer-term trends. At the top, you'll see your monthly recap, comparing actual results to plan across four key metrics — Sales, Inventory, Inflow, and Markdowns — each with a progress bar showing percent of plan achieved. Below that, a Sales Trending chart tracks how actual sales compare to plan and to last year over the past six months, so you can quickly spot whether you're ahead or behind pace. You can filter by location and date range, and toggle between "vs Plan" and "vs Last Year" views to focus on whatever comparison matters most.

Performance

This view gives you a high-level look at how your business is performing — the story behind your numbers. Six sections run across the top: Key Metrics, Transactions & Profitability, Retail Performance, Health & Cash Flow, Best Performers, and Merchandise Insights — with filters available throughout.
